“Captain America Civil War” has yet another milestone under its belt, as the film has crossed the $1 billion threshold at the worldwide box office.

According to Variety, the Disney-Marvel hit earned a $314 million gross from domestic theaters and $677 million from overseas theaters as of Thursday — for a $990 million total — and was projected to have crossed the $1 billion threshold from theaters on Friday.
The “Captain America” sequel is the 25th highest-grossing film ever, and the most successful film of 2016. Its box office power has pushed Marvel Studios past $10 billion at the worldwide box office.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, “Captain America: Civil War” is currently in theaters.
